Range Rover computers measure, amongst other things the o2 levels in the exhaust to determine the correct fuel to air ratio and ignition timing, if this is incorrect then you have a loss of power, incorrect emissions and possibly a misfire and hesitation at high engine loads.

Also if your sensors are contaminated then it is unlikely that your Rangy will pass its emission tests on its MOT.

These sensors fit P38 Petrol 4.0 and 4.6 Thor engines .

These are 2 of these fitted, one for each exhaust bank.
