Range Rover P38 EAS Computer Reset Tool

The EAS Kicker Lite is now here!

This smart little unit works in the same way as its big brother, the EAS Kicker. However, the EAS Kicker Lite does not have a LCD screen to view readouts and there are no buttons to press. You simply plug it in and if there is a fault code registered, it resets it for you. No fuss, no palaver and more importantly, no costly visits to the garage just to get them to reset your EAS System for you.

No need for cables or additional computers and software.

This unit is totally self contained.

When it has finished working it lets you know what it has done. With intelligent use of a high intensity flashing LED the EAS Kicker Lite will inform the user that there are:

    - No fault codes,
    - the fault codes have been detected and cleared,
    - the fault codes have been detected, cleared but have re-logged (fault is still there), or
    - there has been a communication error with the ECU - in which case it will then also tell you the cause of that communication error.

To use simply Plug the unit into the OBD connecter which you will find in the passengerfoot well underneath the dashboard, next to the gearbox tunnel.

As soon as the EAS Kicker Lite is plugged in correctly, the LED will illuminate with a
solid BLUE light. This means the unit is working and is speaking to the EAS system.
When it has done this, you will observe a sequence of Green or Red lights from the LED
which are interpreted as follows:

Solid GREEN Light = No fault codes present.
Flashing GREEN Light = Fault codes found and successfully cleared.
Flashing GREEN/RED Light = Fault codes cleared but fault(s) still present.
Flashing RED Light = Communication Error

 

When you have finished you can simply leave this in your vehicle, handy when you are stuck on the bumpstops in the middle of nowhere!
